Do you use your e-reader for good or for evil?
As a former bookstore owner, I was (and am) expected by most people I meet to be solidly and irrevocably opposed to all e-books forever and ever amen. Lots of people are. Whether they stand to gain a profit from tangible-book-elitism (as I did, as a bookseller) or not, loads of readers eschew e-books in an almost militant manner. I am not one of them. Unless you’re paying more than $4 for your e-books.
…
But if you’re using your e-reader to purchase $18 or even $9 best-sellers instead of purchasing a new or even used hard paperback or checking a copy out from the library, then shame on you. You’re responsible for the death of libraries and bookstores. Go sit in a corner and think about what you’ve done.
